Terms of Service

Last updated: 13 May 2026

1. About these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Shore Bound Ltd., a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 17179727, with its registered office at 11 Somerville Terrace, Sheffield, S6 3QJ, United Kingdom (“ShoreBound”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

By accessing or using the ShoreBound website (shoreboundtravel.com), mobile application, or any related services (together, the “Service”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

2. The Service

ShoreBound provides cruise port guides, AI-assisted day planning, itinerary tools, and related features for cruise passengers. The Service includes both free and paid (Premium) features. We reserve the right to add, modify, or discontinue features at any time, though we will not materially reduce paid Premium features for the duration of a billing period you have already paid for.

3. Eligibility and your account

  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
  • You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and confidential.
  • You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account.
  • You must not share, sell, or transfer your account to anyone else.
  • You must notify us immediately at hello@shoreboundtravel.com if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.

4. Free and Premium tiers

The Service is offered on two tiers:

  • Free: includes port browsing, maps, basic activity listings, and account creation at no cost.
  • Premium: a paid subscription that unlocks additional features such as the AI Day Planner, schedule builder, smart alerts, unlimited saved activities, and an ad-free experience. The current Premium features and pricing are listed on our Premium page.

5. Payment, billing, and auto-renewal

Premium subscriptions are sold and processed by our payment provider, Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd. and its affiliates), who acts as the Merchant of Record. Paddle is the legal seller of Premium subscriptions and is responsible for collecting payment, charging applicable taxes (including VAT, US sales tax, and similar), and issuing receipts. By purchasing a subscription, you also agree to Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms.

  • Prices are displayed at checkout in your local currency where supported, including any applicable taxes.
  • Premium subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually, depending on the plan you select).
  • Auto-renewal: your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current price unless you cancel before the renewal date. You will be charged using the payment method on file with Paddle.
  • You can cancel at any time from your account page. Cancellation stops future renewals; the cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period and you keep Premium access until that date.
  • We may change Premium pricing from time to time. Any price change will be communicated at least 30 days in advance and will only apply from the start of your next billing period.

6. Free trial, refunds, and cancellation

New Premium customers are entitled to a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial and may cancel at any time before it ends to avoid being charged. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription begins and your payment method is charged automatically. The free trial is available once per customer.

Payments taken after the trial (including the first payment and all renewals) are non-refundable. You may cancel your subscription at any time to stop future renewals; you keep Premium access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Limited exceptions and the full procedure for requesting a refund are set out on our Refund Policy page. Your statutory rights under the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 are preserved.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our infrastructure;
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, scrape at scale, or otherwise extract bulk data from the Service;
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our consent;
  • Upload malicious code, conduct denial-of-service attacks, or interfere with the Service;
  • Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules, with or without notice.

8. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you submit to the Service (such as your itineraries, preferences, and notes). By submitting content you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, and display that content solely for the purpose of operating the Service for you. We do not claim ownership of your content and will not use it for marketing without your explicit consent.

9. Accuracy of information

Port listings, opening hours, prices, transport details, and similar information are provided for general guidance only. Shore Bound Ltd. makes no warranty that such information is accurate, complete, or current. Always verify critical details (in particular your ship's “All Aboard” time, weather conditions, and entry requirements) directly with your cruise line and official sources. Shore Bound Ltd. accepts no liability for missed sailings, missed excursions, or other losses arising from your reliance on information provided by the Service.

10. AI-generated content

Some content and itinerary suggestions are generated using artificial intelligence. AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. You should exercise your own judgement and verify important details before relying on any AI-generated suggestion. AI-generated suggestions do not constitute travel, medical, legal, or financial advice.

11. Intellectual property

All content, trademarks, designs, logos, software, and other intellectual property on ShoreBound are owned by Shore Bound Ltd. or licensed to us. You are granted a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use only. You may not copy, modify, reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works of any part of the Service without our prior written permission.

12. Suspension and termination

You may close your account at any time from your account settings or by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these Terms, if your account remains inactive for an extended period, or if we are required to do so by law. On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately; sections that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

13. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shore Bound Ltd. disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shore Bound Ltd. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from your use of the Service, including loss of profit, loss of data, missed sailings, or missed excursions. Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising in any 12-month period shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in that period, or (b) £50.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated by email or via an in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer resident in another part of the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the country in which you live.
